澳新擬批準(zhǔn)一種乳糖酶作為乳制品加工助劑

據(jù)澳新食品標(biāo)準(zhǔn)局(FSANZ)消息,11月22日,澳新食品標(biāo)準(zhǔn)局發(fā)布申請(qǐng)A1167,擬批準(zhǔn)將來(lái)自轉(zhuǎn)基因枯草芽孢桿菌乳糖酶作為乳制品加工中的加工助劑

據(jù)了解,本次申請(qǐng)由DuPont Australia Pty Ltd公司提出。預(yù)計(jì)2019年6月-8月,澳新食品標(biāo)準(zhǔn)局就該申請(qǐng)征求有關(guān)意見(jiàn)。2019年12月4日或5日,此申請(qǐng)得到全面批準(zhǔn),若無(wú)其他評(píng)審要求,預(yù)計(jì)2020年1月份刊登在澳新公報(bào)上。

DuPont Australia Pty Ltd submitted an application to Food Standards Australia New Zealand?(FSANZ)?seeking to permit the use of the enzyme?β-galactosidase?(EC 3.2.1.23).The enzyme is derived from a genetically modified strain of Bacillus subtilis containing the?β-galactosidase gene from Bifidobacterium bifidum. Its proposed use is the production of low lactose and lactose free dairy products and galacto-oligosaccharides?(GOS).

Enzymes used to produce and manufacture food are considered processing aids and are regulated by Schedule 18 of the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code?(the Code).If approved for use, this enzyme would be listed in the table to subsection S18-9(3),which includes enzymes permitted for use for a specific technological purpose.
